Electrohype presents an exhibition about electronic art in public space. The exhibition presents documentation material, video, text, images and sound, of eight artworks, both realized installations and projects that are still on the drawing board.
New technology has become a integrated part of contemporary art. In the same manner electronic art has also moved out into the public space. Here the art is competing with advertisements to catch our attention, in a space where the media noise is constantly getting higher.
The exhibitions aim is to show that creative work with new technology also can be used outdoors, in public space and not only in art galleries and exhibition halls.
The artworks are spans from gigantic light installations to artwork mirroring the underwater sound in one of the worlds most busy harbors.
